The University of Algarve with the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (IMF, Barcelona) are pleased to announce the organization of an international conference focusing on ongoing projects studying the inorganic raw materials used during Prehistory entitled : Raw Materials Exploitation In Prehistory : Sourcing, Processing and Distribution (coordinate by Telmo Pereira (UAlg, Portugal) telmojrpereira@gmail.com, Xavier Terradas (CSIC-IMF – Barcelona, Spain) terradas@imf.csic.es, and Nuno Bicho (UAlg, Portugal) nbicho@ualg.pt)

The submission deadline for abstracts, posters and oral presentations concerning the session “Advances in tracing the origin and circulation of mineral-based prestige items in the Prehistory of the Middle East and its adjacent regions” is October 15, 2015.
